Music is an ever-popular form of entertainment. The influence of music in our daily life attracts people to learn and play the musician instrument. One of the familiar musician instruments is guitar. The beginner guitarist will find hard to tune the guitar string by themselves with manual way. This project provides the solution to them by automates the tuning process of the guitar. The tuning process becomes easy and time saving. The appearance of the project is design to look simple, light, and suit to any guitar especially to acoustic guitar. Thus, it is easy to bring anywhere. There are two main components in completed the project which are hardware part and software part. Hardware part can be divided into two which are mechanical part and electrical part. The mechanical part contain of the base of the project to make it small and suit to guitar and also part where to rotate the tuning peg in order to tune the guitar. The electrical part consists of microcontroller circuit, sensor circuit and actuator circuit. The PIC16F877A will be the brain of the system and the functions is to communicate with the sensor and actuator circuit. The electronic tuner is modified to be the sensor of the project. The actuator used is DC Geared Motor. The chosen of the motor fulfill the requirement needed to rotate the tuning peg which is high torque, slow and can rotate clockwise and counterclockwise continuously. The C language is used to program the microcontroller by using MPLAB software.
