Zuth mentions Alexander Bertioli, a guitar teacher in London, who amongst other things published “Eine vollständige Gitarrenschule und fortschreitende Studien [A Comprehensive Guitar method for Continued Study]” (London bei Wybrow).(Note 46) The guitar method’s title reads: A Complete Method, for the Spanish Guitar or Lyre, Composed by Ferdinando Carulli, Simplified and Improved for the Use of Beginners with Twenty-four Lessons by Mr Bertioli, London.
