Hinrich Niewerth - Lutenist at the Royal Swedish Court
In this article I will particularly deal with one of the many lutenists employed at the Royal Swedish Court during the 17th century: Hinrich Niewerth. My reason for this choice is the hitherto
unobserved connection between Niewerth and some music in the important manuscript D-Rou Mus. saec. XVIII-54, Universitätsbibliothek Rostock. To this has been added recent findings
