In this short series of articles I shall be looking at Andres Segovia’s and Emilio Pujol’s reception in Paris in the 1920s and the 1930s as revealed in the French musical press. Not unnaturally, Segovia dominates the story; but Pujol turns out to have a more important role than he is often credited with.
