Recorded April 16, 1942 in Brussels for the Rythme label. Songs from this 4-song session of duets with pianist Ivon de Bie have rarely been included on Django Reinhardt reissues and compilation albums. The session is unusual for at least a couple of reasons: 1.) Django plays violin, his first instrument, and 2.) he plays alongside a stride pianist, a style of piano that peaked in popularity in the 1920s.
