This video is from the very last session Frank and I did, recorded in May of 2020, weeks before he passed. He recorded two videos on a guitar of mine and after he sent them to me, he was unable to continue and that was the end. Or so I thought. These videos were found quite by happenstance by Colin Isotti, a former student of Frank's, family friend and stellar person. He contacted me to tell me he located some recent videos by Frank and sent them along. This is one of them. This session of videos is the finale to a truly inspired library of guitar videos by Frank, on some of the world's greatest instruments. This video is an etude that Frank wrote as part of his Patreon series. In addition to this study, I love the title very much. Even as he knew his time was extremely limited, he continued to reach. As a musician Frank had a way with the guitar that spoke to my heart. He could produce sound and textures that, for me, is what made him and the guitar (as an instrument) so special.
