Satie wrote several three-movement pieces for children, which were all published
in 1913. “Menus Propos Enfantins” is one of these sets of beginner pieces and is presented here arranged for the solo guitar. It stands to reason that a composer whose music is often characterized as having a child-like musical approach should have written so much music for children. Satie was quoted as having once said "When I was young, people used to say to me: Wait until you're fifty, you'll see. I am fifty. I haven't seen anything".
