The KARLSRUHE GUITAR QUARTET was founded in April 2012 by Roman Hernitscheck, Marco Lima, Gleb Simak and Kristjan Tamm, all students at the University of Music Karlsruhe (http://www.hfm.eu). Since then, the group has stood out in numerous concerts in the area of Karlsruhe. The repertoire extends from original works to arrangements, from baroque to contemporary and covers different areas of instrumental, vocal and popular music. In February 2013, the quartet won the second prize in the Guitar Competition Gevelsberg.
