Eric Sessler was born at Dover, New Jersey, in 1969. He studied composition with Ned Rorem at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, and with Samuel Adler and David Diamond at the renowned Julliard School in New York. In addition, he trained as a classica guitarist at the Manhattan School of Music with Nicolas Goluses. Besides composing, he currently teaches at the Curtis Institute in Philadelphia and in the pre-college program of the Julliard School. His parents left their native Hungary during the 1956 Hungarian Revolution and settled in the US where they changed their family name from Szekeres to Sessler. Hungary...
