Allegro resoluto is the opening movement of the three movement Trio Op. 16 by Joseph Kreutzer (1790-1840), a little remembered early 19th-c. guitarist and composer. The piece is typical for the time with a slow second movement and a lively Alla Polacca at the close. Kreutzer's pairing of clarinet with flute and guitar although unusual, makes for a pleasing sonority. This performance was recorded at the final concert of Red Cedar Chamber Music's 2011-2012 Concert Series season on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Red Cedar Chamber Music's core ensemble, flutist Jan Boland and guitarist John Dowdall are joined by violinist Miera Kim, clarinetist Maurita Murphy Mead and cellist Carey Bostian.
