Music and autism research and desing a method book to teach guitar to challenged students

 3 0

Music has undergone drastic changes in the recent century. The fact that advocations for inappropriate music material, recorded, written, or performed ha undermined our society in many negative ways such as eliciting violence and hatred solicited to young adults throughout many cultures in urban communities. My purpose in this project is to advocate for and initiate the research project of a rock-beginner guitar method book designed for young beginner guitarist and to benefit research for children with special needs such as autism spectrum disorders. “The need for effective educational and therapeutic programs for people with autism continues to grow every year. “Frequently, children with autism end up in special education classes alongside other children who are emotionally disturbed and/or developmentally delayed” (Carpente 2009).
This is important for the next generation in music as well as society, to understand Autism and how it affects children’s learning processes. The purpose of this paper is to create well balanced material to suit the purpose of learning how to read music on guitar, which in turn can enhance student musicality, performance, and hand eye coordination and stimulate learning growth for ASD’s. Reading music and learning the arts can create a solid foundation in learning and discipline.
