BWV 1006a Suite para Laúd No.4, Preludio (Edoardo Legnaro, guitarra)
This is my recording of the first movement of the suite 1006a by Johann Sebastian Bach. This suite is a transcription made by Bach himself of the Partita BWV 1006 for violin solo, composed in 1720. Probably his transcription was intended for the lute.
The Preludio was also transcribed by Bach for solo organ, oboes, trumpets and strings in the opening sinfonia of the cantata Wir danken dir, Gott, wir danken dir, BWV 29, in D major, and was used as an introduction to the second part of the cantata Herr Gott, Beherrscher aller Dinge, BWV...
