Manuel Ponce and the Suite in A minor: Its Historical Significance and an Examination of Existing Editions
The collaboration between Manuel Ponce and Andres Segovia is one of the most important in the history of the guitar, lasting for more than twenty-five years. This relationship resulted in more than eighty works for solo guitar, including works attributed to other composers. The purpose of this study is to discuss the Suite in A minor, attributed to the German lutenist Silvius Leopold Weiss.
