The Quartets for Violin, Viola, Cello, and Guitar of Niccolo Paganini

This treatise examines the role of the prodigy violinist Niccolo Paganini as a chamber music composer, focusing on his works for strings and guitar. The significance of Paganini's quartets for violin, viola, cello, and guitar in music literature lies in the contrast and breadth they provide within the whole of Paganini's oeuvre. His compositions for this ensemble provide a glimpse into the Italian musical arena of the nineteenth century but they are also an important addition to the chamber music literature. This treatise provides a historical background and its influences on Paganini's chamber music, along with a brief biography of the composer and information on his quartets.
