Benedetta Ricciardi plays Serenata Curda by Claudio Dall'Albero on Classical Guitar The ‘Serenata curda’ is based on the Kurdish mode, and was commissioned in 2017 for the thirtieth-anniversary celebrations of the association Chitarra in Italia, held in Modena. The piece was performed by Goran Listeš, to whom was dedicated the work by the composer, with great pleasure. It is a study on tremolo, a typical guitar technique that uses repeated notes to ‘hold’ a melody, transforming the instrument into a sort of mandola or, better still in this case, into an Arabic ‘oūd.
