About the composer: Yuri Alekseevic Smirnov was a guitarist and composer from St. Petersburg, where he was born. A guitarist, composer and conductor, he died in 2021 at the age of 86. His name is well-known in the guitar and musical circles, and also within the theatrical scene, for Smirnov has been appointed artistic director for 30 years at the Bolshoi Theatre in St. Petersburg, thus providing a worthy contribution not only to the guitar community of St. Petersburg, but to the theatrical one as well.
