The shortest piece I've recorded, but a whimsical little gem I think. Critic and composer Adolfo Salazar wrote that ‘the brief Sérénade cannot not be conceived with one note more or one less’. It was originally part of a brief three-movement suite for guitar written for Segovia, and later arranged by the composer for piano.
