This is my performance of the first two movements of Bach's 1st Violin Partita, performed on the Woodring guitar built for me by my good friend Aaron Ringo. The ornate and serious allemande (or allemanda) is the traditional first movement of a Baroque dance suite. In addition the four dances of this partita (Allemande, Corrente, Sarabanda and Boureé) Bach provide an accompanying Double for each dance.
