The recordings on each disc are presented, as far as can be determined, not in order of record release, but in the chronological order in wich they were recorded. Once the Matrix had been made, the record company could manufacture the finish record when they wished to do so. Available recording information shows that release dates of certain titles is not the same order in wich they were recorded. The recordings from the 1920s are somewhat better than the early ones. Those recorded on the Atlanta and Artigas labels were recorded acoustically, whereas the later Odeon recordings used improved electric technology. As all of Barrio's recordings are fundmental to the history of the guitar, it has been decided to issu the complete - in spite of the fact that some of them are of poor quality.
